Terms of Use
Last updated 19 August 2026
These terms govern use of Classikal, a classical music encyclopedia operated by Alin Sfirschi. By using the site you agree to them. The Privacy Policy explains how account data is processed.
The catalog
Work lists, biographies, recordings, and related metadata are compiled from third-party sources (see Credits). Titles, years, and relationships can be incomplete or wrong. Classikal is an editorial/research tool, not a rights-clearance or academic authority. Do not rely on it as the sole source for legal, commercial, or scholarly decisions.
Accounts
You must be at least 16. Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Favorites are private. Playlists you mark public may be visible to anyone with the link. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, scraping that degrades the service, or attempts to access other users' data.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication or rate limits.
- Do not use automated clients in a way that overloads the database or impersonates a browser user at scale.
- Do not post unlawful content in playlist titles or descriptions.
Intellectual property
Site software and original presentation are provided for use of the encyclopedia. Catalog text and identifiers remain subject to their upstream licences (MusicBrainz and Wikipedia are typically CC BY-SA; Wikidata is CC0; see Credits). Embeds and cover art are served or linked from third parties and remain their property.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, completeness of the catalog, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the catalog or from third-party players.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Account. We may delete dormant or abusive accounts. Catalog pages remain public encyclopedia content.
